But then she hears the screaming. “?” Now, her hawkish gaze picks out the purple balloon against the backdrop of beachgoers. Lydia’s eyes trail down to the string that’s wrapped around a child’s hand, its deceptive thinness hiding a scary strength. The soldier pauses as she remembers a similar experience. “Move!” [break][break] The woman’s feet fly across the warm sand as she dodges between blankets and sunbathers. Suddenly, the pain in her shoulders fades. Again, she barks out orders as some idiot gets in her way. Now, the child is above them, the Drifloon is over the shallows. “No you don’t!” A hand drops to her belt and snaps toward the water. A Kingdra emerges from it. [break][break] Her opposite arm is grabbing for her side arm. An accessory that sticks out against her sports bra and yoga pants. “Follow zat ghost!” The first shot grazes the ghost-type as a burst of sea winds sends it veering off course. [break][break] The child is already glowing.
